(This is my now page. It’s a concept I saw from Derek Sivers, and thought it was great. )
I am finally finishing Elon Musks, How the billionaire CEO of Space X and Tesla is shaping our future, which has been an interesting read. It’s been almost 120 days of lockdown, so that means 95% of my 4 months (1/3 of the year) has been spent at home. It’s been a fascinating time – I am getting better at time management, I am getting more confident, and I have been learning heaps through online seminars and thought leaders who have been sharing their knowledge. This week my two paintings from Fhatuwani Mukheli arrived, I am so excited to hang them up and share this incredible artist with people. I also saw the MaXhosa store at the V&A Waterfront open (via Instagram), and my favourite designer – Tshepo Mohlala AKA Tshepo Jeans – was there too. I’m definitely popping in on my next Cape Town mission. I also restarted my golf membership, and immediately bought some Under Armour golf pants and a shirt (literally the definition of “all the gear, no idea”), so this will get me out the house once or twice a week.
I am currently working on an exciting campaign that is launching in August, that will run for 3 months and it’s going to be so rewarding once it goes live. I have learnt a lot, grown a lot, and can’t wait to share more about it. It is going to uplift so many people, and create optimism that we, South Africans, need right now. It is a cause that is really close to my heart, so being gifted with being involved in the campaign is special and I can’t wait for it to start. South Africans are so talented, so incredible, and I wish everyone had a better life – hopefully this campaign changes a few people’s lives, who ultimately change a few others, and so on.
